About Me
My name is Rachel Marron and welcome to my blog!
I became a Christian at 14, but unfortunately lived in some pretty thorny and rocky soil throughout my teenage and college years. It wasn’t until I graduated I realized being a Christian meant more than a cross around my neck and grace before meals. I was called to renew my life. I’ve been attempting to do that ever since.
I’m married to a Marine and we have 2 small boys, who keep me on my toes and melt my heart. I’ve spent the last few years raising them at home, which is (at the moment) in New Bern, North Carolina. Before I began this domestic adventure, I worked for the Federal Bureau of Investigation. My work was centered on national security, but also occasionally included uncovering alien conspiracies. Actually, like many government employees, I spent most of time in front of Power Point.
I completed both my undergraduate and graduate degrees at the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!) in international affairs and public administration, respectively. Come to think of it, I spent a lot of time in front of Power Point there too…
I spent the first half my childhood in Georgia and the other half in Cleveland, Ohio, the latter of which is a frequent butt to many of my jokes. But at least it’s not Detroit.
Cleveland did however provide me with my other (better) half. Though we’ve known each other since grade school, my husband and I began our commitment to each other shortly after graduation and just before he left for basic training when we were 18. Words would not do him justice. I love him.
I invite you to follow and share my attempt to apply biblical truths to my life. Please provide feedback, both positive and negative (though, I don’t know what there would be to complain about), so I can better serve and hopefully entertain you. Thanks for stopping by!
